Taylor Rotarians are looking for people and businesses to support their annual scholarship and scholars banquet by participating in a golf tournament on Friday, April 14.
Teams and sponsors are encouraged to register as soon as possible but, definitely by March 24.
Proceeds are used to celebrate Taylor graduates and their families at a scholars banquet for the top 10 percent of the class and provides for scholarships for those students.
Rotarians from across the area have been contributing to help our Taylor neighbors who were victims of recent storms. The Taylor Club along with clubs from LaGrange, the District 5870 e-club and Assistant District Governor Gene (& Renee) Goeke. Presented Stacy Stork with the Salvation Army Taylor Service Unit with more than $3000 in checks and gift cards along with a box of oranges, toiletries and candy bars.
Rotarian Regina Jo Carlson is collecting new or gently-used luggage, backpacks and travel totes to benefit the clients of an area women's domestic abuse shelter. Donations of the luggage pieces filled with personal hygiene products are happily accepted. See the FULL STORY for a list of some things you might want to include.
The Rotary Club of Taylor and Congressman John Carter’s office recognized Dennis Richter for 50 years of perfect attendance at the Rotary Club of Taylor’s meeting on June 3. Julie Sharifian, Constituent Representative with Carter’s District TX-31 office, presented Dennis with a flag that flew over the United States Capitol Building on May 10, 2021, on the date of the local club’s 100th anniversary. A Paul Harris Fellow, Dennis joined the club in 1971, served as president in 1974-75 and 1984-85 and was chosen Outstanding Citizen of the Year in 1989. He currently serves as the club’s sergeant-at-arms contributing tidbits of Rotary knowledge at every meeting.

Fourth-generation Taylorite will be featured at the Taylor Rotary Scholar's Banquet on Monday, May 10.
On Monday, May 10, the Taylor Rotary Club will honor the top 10% of local graduates and award its $6,000 scholarship at a banquet at Taylor ISD's Main Street Events Center.
