Taylor Rotarians are looking for people and businesses to support their annual scholarship and scholars banquet by participating in a golf tournament on Friday, April 14.
Teams and sponsors are encouraged to register as soon as possible but, definitely by March 24.
Proceeds are used to celebrate Taylor graduates and their families at a scholars banquet for the top 10 percent of the class and provides for scholarships for those students.

Rotary Club golf tournament supports kids, community
TAYLOR, TEXAS, February 21, 2023– Rotary Club of Taylor is ready to celebrate spring by getting golfers on the green.
“Our annual golf tournament helps us support students and community projects all year long,” Club President Tia Rae Stone said. “We know that golfers and the community are ready to get outside and play.”
The annual tournament will tee off at noon Friday, April 14 at Mustang Creek Golf Course with team registrations and sponsorships due by March 24.
“It will be a fun time for everyone and a welcome time to get together and do some good for our community,” Stone said.
The tournament is an 18-hole, four-player scramble and prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. The entry fee is $350 per team.
It includes the use of two carts, the sponsoring company’s name on the sign near the clubhouse and food and beverages. Players will be encouraged to buy mulligans and play other games throughout the tournament.
Sponsorships of $175 or an in-kind donation of prizes or gifts are also welcome and will be recognized at the event.

The Rotary Club of Taylor is committed to the idea of Service Above Self and works to support projects in Taylor and around the world. Its regular local projects include yearly scholarship award and recognition of students in the top 10 percent of the graduating classes at Taylor and Legacy Early College high schools, packing bags at Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry on Wednesday afternoons and running routes for Meals On Wheels every third Thursday.
